His Lordship staked their claim to rock ‘n’ roll domination with their explosive, no-frills 2024 self-titled debut. In June 2025, they returned with their explosive second full-length Bored Animal, featuring lead single "I Fly Planes Into Hurricanes". The band is comprised of guitarist/vocalist James Walbourne and drummer Kris Sonne, and augmented by bassist Dave Page (James and Dave are also members of rock royalty, The Pretenders). His Lordship are supporting Johnny Marr during his 2026 West Coast Tour. In addition to His Lordship and the Pretenders, frontman James Walbourne keeps busy as a current member of Primal Scream, The Pogues, Soulsavers, and The Rails, and has previously played with Ray Davies, Son Volt, Pernice Brothers, Death in Vegas and Jerry Lee Lewis. He was endorsed by the Chuck Berry estate as the lead guitar player in the Chuck Berry Birthday Bash in 2025, fronting a band comprised of members of Living Colour and the Rolling Stones. Walbourne also played guitar as a member of Soulsavers at the Mark Lanegan 60 Celebration at London's famed Roundhouse. Sonne has worked with Brett Anderson, Klaus Voorman, Chrissie Hynde and Englebert Humperdinck.
