hialeah is the project of Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist Scott Girouard, signed to Heading East Records. Between 2022 and 2023, Girouard traveled to the United States to work with producer Fred Mascherino (Taking Back Sunday, Say Anything). The sessions resulted in a collection of songs blending alternative, melodic hardcore, R&B, pop, and jazz into a sound that feels both familiar and distinctly his own.
