Grandmas House, Bristol’s finest and loudest 4 piece, have been busy honing their grunge and post-punk influenced sound. With an attack that is both relentless and melodic, the all-female band are a genuinely unique proposition - refusing to be pigeon holed, they are here to shake up perceptions with their intelligent, stylish and raucous take on rock music. Citing influences from Nirvana to Porridge Radio and Idles to boygenius, the band have been developing their dynamic songwriting. The music moves between aggressive and heavy instrumentation and slower, more melodic passages, creating a powerful contrast. They use their voices to create layered harmonies and the result is a unique and expansive sound. The band have supported Idles, Big Special, Katy J Pearson and Arxx. They’ve been championed by BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 1 and have had BBC 6 Music support from Steve Lamacq, Emily Pilbeam and Amy Lamé.
