Enfants is a four-piece Japanese alternative rock band formed in 2022. Their name, pronounced "En-fant," means "children" in French. The band’s sound is a raw fusion of primal impulse and liberation, woven with the delicate nuances of Japanese lyrics. They gained momentum in 2023 when their track "Play" went viral. By early 2025, they were named a "Top 10 Artist" by industry pros on national TV, solidifying their place on Japan's viral charts. A powerhouse live act, Enfants has performed at major festivals like SUMMER SONIC 2024 and expanded internationally to Taiwan and Korea. Following their 2025 SXSW debut, they return to Austin in March 2026, fresh off the release of their new album Bedford Hedgehog (Feb 4) and a sold-out 1,500-capacity show in Tokyo. Frontman Dai Matsumoto’s songwriting is a defiant resistance against a society that dismisses emotional vulnerability, transforming "weakness" into strength. On stage, their performance is a visceral explosion of pure emotion. Enfants creates anthems for those struggling to find their place, serving as a "quiet revolution" for a generation forced to suppress their feelings.
