DOSSEY started out making squeaky clean pop music in 2017 (NPR’s All Songs Considered actually referred to her in 2018 as “a joyous banquet of roséwave electro-pop”). But by now in 2025, the project has mutated into something brutal, noisy, honest, and unhinged. Motherhood, a slow unspooling of her faith, and the relentless static of American political and social climate have all pushed her toward the genesis of her own brand of dance punk - glitter grunge. So now, DOSSEY’s world hinges on distortion, punk rhythm and anthemic rock vocals influenced by The Clash, Nine Inch Nails and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
