DJ Candlestick has seen success throughout the music industry as a member of The Nice Guys, and then the Chopstars.Starting his career as a young teenager Candlestick built his name up during his high school years and at University Of Houston. While there he was also a founding member of the Nice Guys. As a member of The Chopstars, he is the Founder of ChopCares. His DJ skill has reached far beyond Houston as he’s been featured on programs such as the Ebro Show on Apple Music, as well as a Black Music Monday mix for Apple Music, NTS live (UK), was a former mixer with 93.7 The Beat , 90.9 KTSU (his alma mater) & Sound 42 on Sirius Xm radio. His work has also been featured in the Oscar Award Winning film Moonlight directed by Barry Jenkins, who he’s also collaborated with on “Purple Moonlight” as well as “If Beale Street Was Chopped” He also has Official Album remixes with Drake, Brent Faiyaz, Thundercat, Don Toliver , Metro Boomin , Little Dragon , Dvsn , Partynextdoor and more. Candlestick also was featured on Mo Amer’s Netflix special “The Vagabond” and has been a feature DJ at Coachella, Billboard and Redbull events as well as opening up for Dave Chappelle
